Baldness usually refers to excessive hair loss from the scalp. Hereditary hair loss is the most common cause of baldness as you age. Some people like to leave the hair loss process undisguised. Others may cover it up with hairstyles, makeup, hats, or scarves. Still, others go for treatments that can be used to prevent further hair loss or restore growth. Scalp massage
Regular scalp massage may thicken your hair. The benefits of scalp massage for hair growth focus on the hair follicles. Every hair on your head begins life from a hair follicle located under the scalp. Use the fingertips of both hands to apply light to moderate pressure on the scalp, moving in small circles. Work along the scalp to cover all areas. Try massaging your scalp with your fingertips for at least 4 minutes, several times a day.

Diet
Try to add more protein, herbs, and vegetables to your diet as it promotes proper hair growth. Having very low-calorie diets deprive the body of essential nutrients, including those necessary for healthy hair, such as protein, fatty acids, and zinc. Fast dieting usually does not lead to permanent weight loss and hair loss.
Medications
Minoxidil is a topical solution, the drug of choice for the treatment of male and female androgenetic alopecia, and is available over the counter (OTC).
Hair care
Tight hairstyles like ponytails, buns, or cornrows can damage your hair, while loose hairstyles won’t pull it. Proper hair and scalp care can help prevent hair loss. It also improves hair growth. Keeping your scalp and hair clean can also prevent hair damage and shedding. Also, try to avoid using heated styling tools and chemical-based hair products to reduce hair fall and breakage.
Sleeping with wet hair can weaken your hair and cause it to break. When hair is damp, it is in a fragile state. Using silk or satin pillowcases also help prevent hair from breaking due to friction, tangles, and pulling.
Antioxidants
Using an antioxidant-containing shampoo or scalp treatment can reduce hair loss and improve scalp health. According to the study, women who used shampoo or an 8-week leave-in scalp treatment with the antioxidant Piroctone experienced increased hair growth and more improvement in scalp condition than women who used a placebo product.
Light therapy
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also known as red light therapy, is a treatment for skin problems that uses low-wavelength red light to stimulate cell growth. LLLT can significantly increase hair density and thickness in androgenetic alopecia.
