Gorakh’s elevation, around 1200 m., gives it a special climate, with temperatures below zero in winter and generally below 20°C (68°F) in summer, with around 120 mm of average annual rainfall. The Sindh government is constructing a new road connecting Dadu to Gorakh Hill. There is a new rest house for visitors on the hill. Tourists can arrange their own transport from Sehwan Sharif to the hill station. White Palace, Swat

The White Palace of Marghazar was built in 1940 by the first king of Swat, Miangul Abdul Wadud in the small town of Marghazar located about 13 kilometres from Saidu Sharif. The name was given to the palace because it was built in white marble. The palace now serves as a hotel. The White Palace of Marghazar was the summer residence of the Wali of Swat, Miangul Jehanzeb. Located 7,000 feet above sea level on the Marghazar hill, it was later converted into a tourist resort.
