Bir Billing: Introduction
Are you planning a trip to Bir Billing Paragliding is very popular in this small village in Himachal Pradesh. Many claim that Bill Billing is the best place to paraglide after Lake Como, Italy. As he approaches the building, he first sees a paraglider-filled sky.
Bill is a village in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Billing has a strong connection to paragliding. The name Billing (the paragliding launch location) is a result of this strong association.
Bir Billing doesn’t mean paragliding. Bill can do a lot of things, including camping, trekking, and mountain biking. We’ll get to that in a moment.
Bir Billing: Location
Bir, a small village in Himachal Pradesh’s Joginder Nagar Valley is where we mentioned previously. The paragliding launch location for Billings is found in a meadow approximately 14 km north of Billings. It is situated at 2,400m above the sea level.
It is located close to Dharamshala (64km, 2 hours), Manali (163 km, 5 hours), Kullu (118km, 4 hours)
Palanpur is the nearest major city (30 km, 1h).
If you are not a paraglider, however, you might consider visiting during the monsoon season. This time of year, beer is beautiful and lush green.
Building
Paragliding
Bill’s favorite activity is paragliding. Paragliding is an exhilarating experience. The view from the top of Biru village is stunning. The paraglider launch location is located in Billings (a pasture 14 kilometers north of Billing). You can make paragliding reservations directly from Bir. Each paragliding session lasts approximately 15-20 minutes and costs Rs. 1,500-2,000.
For an additional cost (approximately Rs. 500), you can also record the entire trip with a GoPro. 500). It is best to book ahead (online) during high season to avoid crowds.
Mountain bike
It’s an amazing experience to bike in this building. You’ll pass beautiful monasteries and temples along the way. Bill has two options for mountain biking.
Option 1: Rent a bicycle and go on your own.
This is a convenient and affordable option. It is affordable and offers a lot of freedom. It is important to do your research before you decide which route you want. Hybrid mountain bike rentals cost approximately 150 rupees per day.
Option 2: Register for a program/cycle program

Bill’s Tibetan Colony was established in 1960, when the Dalai Lama fled Tibet with other Tibetans. Many Tibetan monasteries arose representing Nyingma and Kagyu schools of Buddhism.
The colony has several monasteries as well as a Tibetan handicraft centre, a Tibetan children’s village school, and a noodle plant (fun). There are also many souvenir shops. This is the place to go if you want to explore the rich Tibetan culture in India.

Walking around the building and hiking

Chaugan Tea Gardens Walk:
It is easy to do. Take a walk through the Chaugang tea plantations.
Hike from Chaugan, Gunehar
It is a beautiful drive with stunning scenery. You can also bathe in the Gneher River if you wish. Sherab Ling Monastery: Hike through the forest from Chaugang to Sherab Ling Monastery, Upper Batu. The scenery is stunning.
Take a hike to the Upper Bir River Pools and Gunehar River Pools.
Bill Billing Accommodation
Bir isn’t your typical tourist destination with five-star hotels. Most of the accommodation in this region are homestays that are owned by locals. There are also many hostels and hotels.
Bir Billing Restaurant
The building doesn’t have many restaurants, which is a departure from popular tourist destinations. It does have interesting options. Chogan is home to many great cafes. You can also enjoy Maggi and tea up in the mountains.
